Process
To complete the task your group of volunteers must follow the steps below to complete the research and project. The roles of each group member are described in detail below the steps.
1.You will be assigned to a volunteer team of 2-3 members
2.Each member of the group must pick one of the three roles described below. (Your name and role must be indicated on the questions, i.e. Mrs. Morrone - Motivator)
3.After the roles are decided, you will begin the project.
4.Find answers to the SIDS questions that are listed below, using the given internet sites
on the resource page.
5.Design an attractive brochure, which will be distributed to new parents when they
leave the hospital with their newborn(s). Use MicroSoft Publisher or anther program.
6.When the brochure is complete you will begin to create a bumper sticker to promote the Back to Sleep Campaign. (For bumper sticker, can use a softward program or paper)
7.After your group has completed the research, design a Brochure, and create a bumper sticker, all members will be evaluated according to the criteria given in the scoring
rubric.
8.Each group member will submit answers to the research questions.
9.Each group member will evaluate their completed work, which includes
their participation within the group, as well as their group members work,
according to the criteria given in the scoring rubric.
Roles
*Within your group, each memeber will take on a role. If there are only 2 in a group, pick
one role each. If there are more than three in the group, double up on roles.
*Each role will be equally responsible for the workload of the Web Quest.
*You will be individually evaluated on group participation. At the end of
the project, each member will complete an evaluation on themselves and on
each member of their group.
Leader-
You will take the lead, and your leadership qualities will shine through. This
does not mean you take control, but instead you will push the group along
and make sure members keep on task when making decisions and completing
the research and projects. You are responsible for keeping the log on
group assignments and completions of assignments.
Motivator
– You will make sure the group is on task, and motivates the members to complete the research and projects. You must be energized and bounce your energy onto the other groups. You must encourage creativity and make sure each member is excelling to the best of their abilities.
Equalizer
– You will make sure each member of the group is keeping on task and equally
doing the work. To complete the project in the three days you must make sure
the workload is divided in equal ways. You must be fair and not abuse your role
by not completing your portion of the research project. You must work with
Leader to review and enhance group assignments and completions of work.
